    User journey

myflexbox is the largest carrier-neutral parcel locker network in Austria and Germany. Unlike "closed" networks, myflexbox is carrier agnostic, meaning it integrates multiple carriers and e-commerce partners into a single locker system. This reduces “empty tours” for delivery drivers and provides a centralized hub for users to collect, return, and ship parcels - regardless of the carrier.

    Order
A customer places an order for a package.
    Delivery
A customer chooses the myflexbox locker for parcel delivery.
    Send PIN
Once the parcel reaches the locker, an automated SMS is sent.
    Collection
The customer receives a unique QR code and pin via SMS.
    Pickup
The customer scans the code at the locker and retrieves the parcel.

The challenge: The "Locker Cemetery" Problem

In many urban areas, carrier-specific lockers create a situation best called "locker cemeteries" - rows of boxes that only serve one delivery company. myflexbox solves this through an open network.

When receiving parcels from multiple carriers, people can collect them at a single location. However, for this model to work, the notification system must be flawless. If a parcel collection PIN isn't delivered, the locker remains occupied and the customer frustrated.

Any delay in SMS delivery triggers a chain reaction of support requests. Each undelivered SMS increases the number of packages in the lockers, operational overhead, and hinders the customer experience.

“It’s something we need to manage on our side because the people are calling us or writing the internet form... ‘Where is my QR code? I can’t get my parcel.’”

The solution: An expert partner in Europe

As myflexbox scaled their business, they identified the need for a reliable message delivery, data storage in the EU, and a transparent, foreseeable pricing structure. myflexbox wasn't able to fulfill those requirements with their previous provider, and they turned to Messente.
Messente, a European business messaging company, helped to solve this by ensuring EU data hosting and compliance. In addition, Messente provided myflexbox with clear, transparent pricing, which helps plan costs in advance.
    Non-EU Based
Data was stored outside of the European Union.
    Hidden fees

Hidden platform fees and inconsistent billing structures.

    Inconsistent delivery
Inconsistent and fluctuating delivery rate increase support overhead.
    With
    European focus

GDPR compliant and situated in the EU, matching myflexbox’s focus.

    Foreseeable pricing

An open, reliable, and clear SMS pricing structure.

    High delivery rate
Consistently high delivery rate means ensured that people received their packages in time.

    The result

    3,500+
    Daily messages

Messente reliably handles more than 3,500 notifications every day.

    Support Load Reduction
Reliable delivery prevents unnecessary support tickets.
    Competitive Pricing
Clear pricing with no hidden fees.
By ensuring that every customer receives their parcel collection code, Messente does more than just send SMS - it helps to ensure that myflexbox can provide a service that their customers expect. This helps myflexbox to grow its business and expand the parcel locker network.

Consistently high delivery rates ensure customers get their parcel locker PINs which prevents unnecessary calls, complaints, and support tickets. This resulted in reduced support load and better customer experience.

Messente provided transparent and foreseeable pricing, which meant that myflexbox can accurately forecast their messaging costs.
